How Masala Ink began

One thing that is common between all of us apart from breathing and loving is our love and need for food, at least most of us like to eat! But some of us develop into or are natural connoisseurs. A habit of mine that my boyfriend caught is that whenever I taste a new dish, I either nod my head in approval followed by a "hmmm" or shake it and say what's missing. I didn't realise that most people in my close circle watch out for my reaction whenever they want me to taste something new. Now, I can't help but notice the look of anticipation on their face as they wait for me to react. It makes quite a dramatic scene!

Those lovely moments!

Just like that, one fine day, while we were enjoying our meal and I had finished giving my "reaction" the love of my life announced that I should think about becoming a food critic, "you love to cook, have a good sense of flavour and knowledge about food. Give it a shot!" Of course, I laughed and basked in his compliments. But soon, the idea made more and more sense, it got me all excited. Why wouldn't I like to explore new places and discover new dishes!?

My wild veggies!

Just because I'm so proud of this stack!

Since I procrastinate quite a bit at times, it took a while to get started. But here I am! As many ideas and attempts fizzle out over time while we try to balance work and personal life, I felt I need to make a commitment. If I make a commitment to you that I will write a review once a week, I'll have to honour my word even more. So, I promise to keep my word. Come what may, I will write a food review every week, so help me chocolate! Yes, Chocolate is like God of food; filled with love, sweetness and peace!

When my presentation just clicked!

So watch out for my review on The Open Box, the fusion food outlet located at St. Marks Road, Bangalore. Catch you soon!
